As an Android engineer on the team, you will build consumer experiences for Yelp’s Guest Manager waitlist and reservations, drive traffic to restaurants, keep diners engaged during dining experiences, and grow Yelp’s user base. Additionally, you will build new features in the Yelp Business Owners app that enables service providers to successfully connect with consumers.

This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular area in Mexico. We welcome applicants from throughout Mexico. • Build new features in Kotlin on top of modern open source foundations (Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava2, Retrofit, Glide, Koin, etc.).
• Improve and iterate (weekly release cycle, Multi-Module build) on existing functionality to reliably give our users a smooth experience.
• Collaborate with other engineers and share the skills you’ve learned.
• Be a key part of the larger Android developer community at Yelp.

• Relevant experience with modern Android development technologies.
• Experience in Kotlin or Java and exposure to Android libraries, frameworks, and tools such as Jetpack Compose and MVI. 
• Passion for building large systems with elegant interfaces and a responsive user experience.
• Eagerness to embrace challenges related to scalability, reliability, and performance. 
• Enthusiasm for Yelp’s mission to connect people with great local businesses.
